Kaiser Permanente Maryland HealthChoice Consumer Advisory Board Application
Frequently asked questions
- What is the Consumer Advisory Board?
The Consumer Advisory Board (CAB) is a meeting for HealthChoice members to talk about their member experience with other members, Kaiser physicians, and special needs coordinators. If you participate in the CAB you will be an important link between the HealthChoice member community and the Kaiser leadership. You will give your feedback to the group and participate in discussions about your experience as a Kaiser enrollee. We select CAB members from a variety of backgrounds and locations to represent the diversity of the enrollee population.
- Why should I participate?
CAB members can influence decisions made by Kaiser that impact the entire HealthChoice community. After each CAB session, the Kaiser staff will record the CAB members’ comments and feedback. The staff will then use this information to create a report to send to the Medicaid Office. The Kaiser Executive Team will review the report four times per year.
We are committed to using the CAB members’ comments and feedback as guidance for our future actions.
- Who can participate?
Kaiser Permanente HealthChoice members and/or enrollee’s health advocates are invited to join the CAB. For example, the parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the HealthChoice program can apply to join the CAB.
- How do we help you participate?
We will provide transportation to and from the CAB meetings and light refreshments.
- What are my next steps?
Please fill out the application. We will contact selected members with more information.
